**The Summer Intensive includes:**

Each week focuses on one carefully chosen topic, selected by the flute community through polls on Patreon and Instagram.
We’ll explore each topic from multiple angles — tone, technique, body, breath, creativity, using clear explanations, tools I personally use in my own playing, and original exercises designed just for this program.

WEEK 1 – AIR
*Goal: Build awareness and control of airflow for musical phrasing and endurance*

– Breathing mechanics, how to let go, understanding the diaphragm
– Continuous airflow while playing
– Catch breaths without interrupting the musical line
– Compound exercise combining all three

WEEK 2 – TONE
*Goal: Develop resonant, flexible tone across registers*

– Where are the notes placed in your body – how to find and feel them
– Tongue & soft palate positions for different octaves and intervals
– Jaw, vowels, teeth and vocal tract – debunking Open Throat myth
– Compound exercise to explore tone mapping
– Q&A + Live Zoom (Week 2)

WEEK 3 – ARTICULATION
*Goal: Using consonants, vowels and your pharynx*

– Understanding the middle ground between short articulation and slurred
– TD, NG and why the root of the tongue changes everything
– Air & Tone relationship, whispering and our vocal cords
– Compound exercise blending articulation, tone & phrasing
– Q&A (pre-recorded)

WEEK 4 – IMPROV (not only for jazz flutists!!)
*Goal: Unlock creativity through improvisation and exploration*

– How playing freely as a part of your practice will transform your playing
– A useful way to practice simple chord progressions
– Theme and variations – building a solo naturally
– Exercises & applications – how to use it all in a tune
– Q&A + Live Zoom (Week 4)
