About Me

Hi, I’m Hadar. I’m a flutist, composer, arranger, and producer. After moving to New York City from Israel at 21, I spent fifteen years there performing, recording five albums, and touring internationally with my harmony-less trio. I love blending musical styles, from classical to jazz and Brazilian choro, as well as flavors from Latin America and the Middle East.

This passion for diverse musical influences, combined with collaborations with incredible musicians, has fueled my curiosity to create my own unique style and musical language. My music has taken me all over the world, from the US and Canada to Israel, Brazil, Taiwan, and Europe.

I thrive on trying new things and pushing my own boundaries. I’m always on the lookout for innovative ways to expand my musical horizons. A huge fan of old flutes, I have a cherished collection that includes antique wooden flutes as well as modern low flutes, such as the alto and bass flute. These instruments inspire me and contribute to my explorative approach to music.

I’m also deeply passionate about teaching. I created The Self Sufficient Flutist, a method designed for flutists from all musical genres to develop a deeper understanding of melody, rhythm, and harmony.

This approach grew from my own experiences studying both classical and jazz music and recognizing how traditional flute studies can be too segregated by style. My method aims to bridge these gaps, offering a more integrated approach to flute education.

Currently, I balance my time between touring, performing, and teaching. Over the past five years, I’ve taught my method online and in workshops worldwide, growing a unique flute community and connecting with hundreds of flutists from many countries. I’m very active on social media and enjoy sharing my knowledge with flutists everywhere. My goal is to build a different kind of flute community, supporting their growth and fostering connections across the globe.
